YAKUSHIMA Island Photographs

Yakushima is an island in southern Japan, and its high elevated terrains have many variations in climate from warm-temperate subtropical climate in the coastal area, to cold-temperate subalpine weather in the high mountain range. Amano captured such a precious natural landscapes which as designated as a UNESCO’s natural world heritage site, with large sheet films. Among those images, old growth of giant Cryptomeria trees is magnificent.
